Precious C. Isheke: Building Social Media Strategies that Drive Brand Awareness & ROI

A potrait of Precious Isheke, founder of PBS Media Agency

1. Please share a brief introduction about yourself and your business

I’m Mrs Precious C Isheke: the founder of PBS Media Agency, where we specialize in helping high-paying personal brands, coaches, consultants, and service-based businesses build their online visibility through strategic social media management.

I also offer tailored strategy sessions and create strategic content plans that not only attract clients, but turn content into client-magnetic material that drives revenue. My goal is to help my clients thrive online by simplifying their content strategy and easing their path toward success.

2. Who are your customers, and how do you help them?

My clients are active personal brands, service-based businesses, and coaches who want to streamline their social media efforts and optimize their online presence. I accept clients who want to scale their presence and attract more clients.

I help create impactful social media strategies, streamline their content creation process, and turn their online presence into a magnet for premium clients. I help my list of clientele stand out through crafted content and strategic social media management that drives engagement and conversions.

3. What was your background prior to starting your own business?

My background is in biochemistry. I initially planned to pursue a career in the medical field as a doctor or pharmacist. I graduated at the top of my class and had a strong academic foundation. However, I was always driven by the desire for independence and the ability to build something of my own.

My entrepreneurial journey began with selling accessories such as wrist watches, jewelry, and materials.  These items have helped me build a solid customer base.  After losing my business account, I was forced to rethink my approach and discovered my true passion for social media. My journey into social media management began after this moment of realization, and I’ve never looked back.

4. Was there a moment that made you say, “I have to do this now”?

Losing my business account was the pivotal moment that made me realize I needed to pivot heavily. It was a very devastating period I experienced.  At the time, it felt like the world was collapsing. In my search for solutions I stumbled upon social media skills through YouTube channels and that’s when everything clicked for me.

I realized that social media could not only help me rebuild what I had previously lost entirely but also create a sustainable business that aligned with my desire for independence. That’s when I knew I had to go all in!

5. What challenges did you face in the early stages, and how did you overcome them?

In my earlier stages, one of the biggest challenges I faced was the fear of what others would say about me, especially since I had been known as a top performing academic student with a first-class degree. People questioned my decisions and wondered why I would leave the academic path for something so different.

Many doubted my choices thereafter. The fear of judgment combined with the uncertainty of whether I’d be a success story, made it difficult to grow and remain active online. I was worried that people would think I was failing or that I wasn’t capable of transitioning to something new. But despite the fear, I pushed through it all. I did not let the opinions of others stop me.

I kept going, stayed focused on my goals, and scaled through the challenges knowing that staying true to myself and not saying “no” to opportunities was key. Over time, I learned that fear is part of growth, and overcoming it is essential to building something successful and compatible with my goals and aspirations.

6. How did you fund your business initially? (Bootstrapped, friends & family, investors, etc.)

I didn’t seek external funding because my goal was to build a business that allowed me to stay in the comfort of my home and work from home as well. I used my own savings from previous ventures to bootstrap my business.

My husband was also a primary source of support during this time and still plays an integral role up until this day.  It was a true leap of faith, but I trusted in myself and knew that investing in my future was the way to make it happen.

7. Were there any turning points that helped you grow faster or pivot?

The turning point came when I stopped treating social media like one small hustle on the side and started seeing it for what it really was— a powerful business tool. Once I aligned my strategy with my strengths, things started shifting quickly. I became more consistent, more intentional, and focused on creating content that truly speaks to the kind of clients I wanted which were high-paying and ready-to-invest clients.

This shift didn’t just grow my business but it also opened more doors for me. From getting opportunities I never imagined, to collaborating with amazing creatives and building important relationships I was attracting my dream clients and even connected with mentors who saw my potential. That decision to go all in changed everything for me for the better!

8. What accomplishments are you most proud of to date in your business?

I’m most proud of the strong relationships I’ve established currently and have yet to with my clients.  I thoroughly enjoy helping them scale their businesses and watching them go from feeling overwhelmed to thriving in their business day-to-day has been incredibly rewarding. One of my biggest accomplishments has been building a loyal client base and seeing my strategies turn into tangible results.

9. Do you have any recent wins from the last year that you’d like to celebrate with the Belle Sisters community?

This past year has been filled with incredible wins for my clients.  I’m truly proud of how far they’ve come! One of the biggest highlights was when one of my clients landed her first international collaboration with a major digital company based in Philadelphia. That alone was such a big leap for her brand.

She continued her journey to success also accumulating over a million views on her social channels, launched her own webinars, ran successful cohort sessions, and most importantly, she did it all without the stress of handling her social media.

We achieved clarity for her business by removing the overwhelming struggles of social media management, which provided her the mental space to focus, think more clearly, and move along with other business ideas with ease.

It’s giving clarity, growth, and real results.

10. What’s next for your business? What can we expect to see over the next few years?

I’m stepping into a season of expansion and it’s intentional. I’m working on offering deeper and more tailored strategy sessions for personal brands, coaches, creatives, and service-based entrepreneurs who are ready to turn their platforms into client-magnets.

Beyond that, I’m building out mentorship and internship pathways specifically for creatives. I want to help them not just show up, but stand out  from the crowd and establish brands that are not only reputable but also sell out. I’ve seen how clarity, guidance, and structure can completely change the game and I want more creatives to experience this with their social media integrations..

In the next few years, you can expect more programs from me, more transformation progress, and a community of people who are showing up online with purpose, strategy, and results to show for it.

11. What is one thing you wish you had known when you started your business?

I honestly wish I knew how powerful social media really was from the beginning. If I had known earlier that social media could completely change my life, help me build a brand, attract premium clients, land collaborations, and take me across the world right from the comfort of my home, I would’ve started much earlier in my lifetime.

I used to see social media as just “posting for fun”, but now I’ve seen how it can turn your entire business around, build a legacy that changes lives, and open doors for you like never imagined. I just wish I started earlier and took it seriously from day one. It would’ve saved me so much time, confusion, trials, and errors.

12. How do you balance entrepreneurship with other roles you play (family, social life, personal time)?

It’s all about setting boundaries and knowing when to take a step back. I make time for family and social life by scheduling my work around my personal life. Time management is key, and I’ve learned to prioritize what truly matters while maintaining a healthy balance.

13. What tools or habits have been game-changers for your productivity or growth?

It’s been a mix of powerful tools and solid habits that have truly helped me scale my business.

Scheduling tools like Later and Buffer are lifesavers for content planning and keeping everything on track. Tools like Notion and Google Workspace help me keep my strategies, client briefs, and project timelines organized in addition. Platforms such as Slack and Trello are my go-to for smooth team collaboration, ensuring we’re always aligned, and on the same page.

On the creative side, Canva is a priority pick for quick, eye-catching designs while CapCut has been invaluable for turning out high-quality and engaging video content for social platforms. These tools make creating content feel truly seamless and I can complete  everything within a fraction of the usual time.

The real game-changer though is the habit of setting clear weekly priorities and making sure I stick to them. I also dedicate quiet hours to deep thinking and building a strategy if necessary. These habits paired with the right tools have allowed me to maintain productivity, stay creative, and consistently grow my agency.

14. Any books, podcasts, or communities that have helped you along the way?

I’m always striving to grow personally, and there are a few books that have truly shaped my mindset and business journey thus far.  Some examples of famous titles you should check out are “Think Big” by Dr. Ben Carson and “The Secret” by Rhonda Byrne.

Both of these novels have heavily impacted me in helping me develop the right mentality for success.  The Bible is my ultimate guide for wisdom and staying grounded; especially when things become challenging.

In terms of business strategy, novels such as “The E-Myth Revisited” by Michael Gerber and “The 4-Hour Workweek” by Tim Ferriss have built my foundations on how I approach efficiency and scaling my business. I also love to listen to “Online Marketing Made Easy” by Amy Porterfield and “The GaryVee Audio Experience” by Gary Vaynerchuk for daily inspiration and actionable tips.

When it comes to financial growth, “Rich Dad Poor Dad” by Robert Kiyosaki completely changed the way I think about money, investing, and building wealth. I have also delved into several other finance-focused books that helped me understand how to manage and grow my business finances more effectively.

These resources have been key in shaping both my business and personal growth, offering insights on strategy, mindset, and how to truly impact lives.

15. What does a typical workday look like for you (if there’s such a thing)?

A typical day for me starts with reviewing my goals for the week and aligning them with my team’s objectives. I always make sure to check in with the team to ensure we’re all in tune with the progress and tasks at hand.  I then dive into strategy sessions with clients, followed by time dedicated solely to content creation, client communication, and managing social media to make sure everything is aligned with my clients’ goals.

I also set aside time for personal development as I believe continuous learning is key to growth. Balancing client work with my own growth and team coordination keeps things flowing smoothly and ensures we’re always moving in the right direction.

16. What’s a quote or mantra you live by?

“Consistency compounds, and patience wins the race.” This reminds me that the small actions I take every day will eventually lead to big results.

17. What advice do you have for aspiring Belle Sisters?

Don’t rush the process. Building a strong foundation for your business takes time, and consistency is key. It’s easy to get overwhelmed, especially with the demands of social media, but remember that it’s not just about posting content. It’s about creating a strategy that works for your brand, resonates with your audience, and aligns with your bigger vision.

Take the time to refine your craft, build meaningful connections, and focus on your overall business growth. Whether it’s working on your mindset, learning new skills, or networking with the right people, every step is important. Social media is a powerful tool for growth, but it’s just one piece of the puzzle. Stay focused on your long-term goals, be patient with your progress, and never underestimate the power of consistency and dedication.
